โ† DutyHourCheck: free ACGME duty-hour checker

How to export your TigerConnect Physician Scheduling schedule to a calendar (iCal / webcal link)

TigerConnect Physician Scheduling can give you a private calendar link (it starts with webcal:// or https://). Add that link to your phone's calendar and your shifts stay up to date on their own. Paste the same link into DutyHourCheck to check your schedule against ACGME duty-hour rules.

Find your TigerConnect Physician Scheduling calendar link

  1. Your scheduler creates the iCalendar for you in TigerConnect Physician Scheduling (formerly Call Scheduler), under Whiteboards > iCalendar Export. You usually get it by email.
  2. Copy the .ics link from that email (or from schedule.tigerconnect.com if you have access) and paste it here.

If you never got the email, ask your scheduler to create an iCalendar for you.

๐Ÿ”‘ Keep the link private.

Add it to your calendar app

Subscribed calendars refresh on the calendar app's own schedule, which can be several hours. Check TigerConnect Physician Scheduling itself before a shift swap.

Check it against duty-hour rules

Paste the link into DutyHourCheck. It flags EM shifts over 12 hours, rest shorter than the shift before it, weeks over 60 clinical or 72 total hours, no day off in 7, and more than 6 nights in a row, or the Common Program Requirements (80 hours averaged over 4 weeks, 24+4, 14 hours off after 24-hour call). The check runs in your browser and the free audit stays free.
