โ† DutyHourCheck: free ACGME duty-hour checker

How to export your Amion schedule to a calendar (iCal / webcal link)

Amion can give you a private calendar link (it starts with webcal:// or https://). Add that link to your phone's calendar and your shifts stay up to date on their own. Paste the same link into DutyHourCheck to check your schedule against ACGME duty-hour rules.

Find your Amion calendar link

  1. Amion (classic): open your group, click the My Schedule icon and choose your name.
  2. Click Create Schedule, then click one of the calendar icons below the calendar to show your calendar URL.
  3. Amion Next: open My Schedule and copy the calendar URL from the bottom right.
  4. Paste the link here. The feed covers about 300 days ahead and the last 2 weeks.

๐Ÿ”‘ Amion links contain your group's Amion login after "Lo=". Anyone with the link can open your whole group's schedule. Never post it.

Add it to your calendar app

Subscribed calendars refresh on the calendar app's own schedule, which can be several hours. Check Amion itself before a shift swap.

Check it against duty-hour rules

Paste the link into DutyHourCheck. It flags EM shifts over 12 hours, rest shorter than the shift before it, weeks over 60 clinical or 72 total hours, no day off in 7, and more than 6 nights in a row, or the Common Program Requirements (80 hours averaged over 4 weeks, 24+4, 14 hours off after 24-hour call). The check runs in your browser and the free audit stays free.
